WHAT IS PBM?

Professionals Beis Medrash  is a international non-apologetic, modern, authentic and well-balanced Talmud learning program. We place an emphasis on empowering people to master the challenging  text of the Talmud  through structured learning, while remaining sensitive to the time constraints of professional and family people leading busy lives.The Men's programme  is a  Hebrew and Gemara learning course where participants advance from one level to the next each year.

Pbm is a revolutionary approach to Talmud/Gemarah study. Tried and tested in South Africa, with hundreds of satisfied participants, the program is uniqe in that it provides a methodical process that unlocks the complexity of talmudic logic making it accessible to anyone regardless of backround & standard. Each session is enhanced by PBM's UNIQUE STUDY SHEETS, followed by a shiur/lecture to elucidate the material covered.

The growth of participants as the years go by is inspiring.People that never dreamed it would be possible, are poring over pages of  Gemara, and are now part of the international, intergenerational Torah conversation. 

2011 has seen the launch of PBM for Women. It provides an opportunity to learn in formal environment for women who never had such a privilege, or for those who did, and would like to continue their studies.  The nature of the first class is more fact-based (Jewish Literacy). The second is more values-based (Personal Growth). Our goal each evening is for our participants to walk back to their worlds more inspired and more informed.

Our participants include professionals from a broad spectrum including doctors, lawyers,accountants,consultants, surgeons, bankers, lecturers, dentists, computer experts, businessman, engineers, etc…
