Picture this: The sleepy county of Kent is about to get a wake-up call from the loudest Jewish learning festival out there. This year's Fest is a disco ball, your best party frock, and picking confetti out of your ears, in short, we're putting the Festival back into Fest!
Take time to relax on long walks through the on-site forest, or get warm and cosy with new friends in the willow-twined spaces. Or reinvigorate your senses on the high wire trails and climbing wall!
Fest is a long-weekend, outdoorsy Jewish festival (and not the egg in saltwater kind of festival). Come and be part of an awesome community. Feel moo-ved by the Limmud presenters you love, learn Torah in a tent, live music and drame - oh, and don't forget your dance shoes!
Volunteering at Fest
Limmud is a community of volunteers - and Limmud Fest is run entirely by a team of volunteers. Every skill you offer is welcome; any time you can give is precious. Let us know what your skills are and we will create your volunteering opportunity around YOU.
One of the best ways to enjoy Fest, whether a first timer or old hand, is by helping make the diverse parts of the event come to life.
Some of the hundreds of roles you can do:
- Help lost people become found again
- Make a huge mess decorating
- Paint children's faces
- Set up camping
- Usher people to their tents
- Listen and talk to participants
- Help run a session
- Make cocktails
- Work with Fest children and young people
- Or anything else you might think of!
YAD Scheme
The YAD (Young Adult Development) Scheme is essential to Limmud Fest. Volunteering as a YAD allows for a huge range of activities to take place for everyone involved at Fest.
This year, as part of our commitment to place YADs in positions that offer a rewarding experience, we are enabling those interested in the scheme to YAD for one, two, three or four days of Limmud Fest.
In order to YAD, you must be present at Fest from 10am on the days you indicate, except Friday when you must be present from 1pm. You will receive a £20/day discount for up to three days, and a £100 discount if you are a YAD for four days of Fest. All beneficiaries of the YAD scheme are expected to be active participants in the roles allocated to them.
This year, all applicants for the YAD scheme will apply within their application to Fest. Tick the relevant box on the web application form, and your extra details can be provided.
