Torah, trees, and tasty titbits
We believe that the best way to think about the environment is to get out there and get stuck into it. Join us and 'green guru' Natan Levy for our very own Tu B'shvat seder with a difference at the magnificent Kew Gardens.
We will be reflecting on environmental issues from a Jewish perspective, stopping off at four attractions along our route, and partaking in our very own alternative seder using only seasonal/ethically sourced produce.
There will be an opportunity to discuss our relationship with nature, and to celebrate the Jewish New Year for Trees in style on the Xstrata Tree Top Walk - 18 metres above the ground!
This is your opportunity to get a unique experience of nature for both body and soul.
Please be aware that to reach the Xstrata Tree Top walk - a key feature of this visit - you need to be able to climb 118 stairs, as unfortunately the lift for disabled access is not currently working.
The JCC will provide fruit for our alternative Tu B'shvat seder at various points along the tour. There are also cafés at Kew if you need anything extra. Alternatively feel free to bring some picnic food with you, but they don't allow this to be eaten indoors.
