When and how did jewpro.co.uk start?
This site started in March 2006. It originally started as a Yahoogroup!
It was started by Spencer Shaw.
"One day I came out the shower and thought it would be a really great idea to start a Yahoo! group so that people would know what is happening.
This was before Facebook was popular and every other day it seemed like someone would email me asking to forward round a flyer. Yahoo! had and still has huge limitations and with Hashems hand and some very special friends, it was moved to professional email list servers. Following that it evolved into a website and now it is available on facebook with the Jewproapp

Why did you start it?
"I genuinely believe that there are a lot of good events that people would love to go to if only they knew about them.
If more people go to more events, then more Jewish people meet each other and there is less chance of intermarriage etc..."
and now...?
"Now its turning into something very special. We are looking to expand across the Jewish market for students, older people, families, religious people in the UK and Israel. If we provide a good service, then people will tell other people, word spreads. "
